Do you know that Bengal Tiger or Royal Bengal Tiger is the National animal of Bangladesh. Its scientific name is Panthera and trinomial name is Panhera Tigris. It belongs to Felidae family and class of mammalia.

Bengal tigers of male kind lengthwise varying from 270 to 310 cm (110 to 120 in) including the tail. The length of Females measure 240 to 265 cm (94 to 104 in) on average and their tail vary from 85 to 110 cm (33 to 43 in) long and on average tigers are 90 to 110 cm (35 to 43 in) in height at the shoulders.

Males weight ranges from 170 to 248 kg (390 to 560 lb), while that of the females ranges from 100 to 160 kg (220 to 350 lb). this animal have  extremely  plucky  teeth.

Skin of the Bengal tiger is yellow nearly close to light orange, with lines ranging from dark brown to black. The interior parts of the limbs and belly are white. Its tail color is orange with black rings.

Now the importance of tigers in Bangladesh reduce to the forests of the Sundarbans and the Tracts. The forest of Chittagong is attached tiger territory in India and Myanmar. But the population of tiger have  unknown station.

According to survey reported in   2004 the population of tigers in Bangladesh ranged from 205  to 415. In the region of Sundarbans the tigers survive well. For hunt targeting the swimming start from island to delta .

The Department of Bangladesh’s Forest is rising mangrove plantations supplying food for marked deer. According to 2007 survey  tiger monitoring have been carried out every year by Wild Team in the Bangladesh Sundarbans to monitor changes in the animal  population and calculate the effectiveness of conservation actions.

The result of measurement changes in the frequency of tiger track sets along the sides of tidal waterways as a guide of relative tiger abundance across the Sundarbans site.

Its scientific name is Panthera Tigris, Panthera comes from Latin, in Greek this word use for leopard. Because tiger has close similarity to leopard. The lion commonly known by the King of the animals or the king of wild is replaces by tiger. That’s why in cultures of eastern Asia  the Bengal tiger means royalty, fearlessness and fury.
